Catrin Fflur Huws spent her childhood putting on plays: in her school classroom, in her parents' living room, in her neighbours' garage. As something approximating a grown up, her play To Kill A Machine, about the life of mathematician Alan Turing performed to critical acclaim in Wales, England and Scotland, and she is currently working on an Arts Council Wales R and D project to write a new play about chess, murderers and filmstars. She spent a delightful summer operating the follow spot for Aberystwyth Arts Centre's summer season production of Oliver! and maintains that her other life, teaching law, has many similarities with the theatre: many people dress up, there are goodies and baddies, culminating in court cases where one group of people say 'oh yes it is' and another group of people say 'oh no it isn't.'

Gwawr faces her results day! Her parents receive a letter. But the results are not of GCSE’s or end of year reports but rather her categorisation by colour. Gwawr’s parents and brother and sister are all “red” and it is assumed that Gwawr will be too. Imagine their surprise and disappointment when the letter says otherwise. Gwawr is not red. Gwawr is different. It is not clear what colour she is but everything must be done to try to restore Gwawr to the family’s expectations.
Will Gwawr find her true colour? And what will happen if she doesn’t fit in with everyone else?
